Alex Tome
My name is Alexandre, you can call me Alex. Since 2011, almost 300 couples across the globe. My goal is to realize an authentic photo reportage, tell a story: yours, on this special day.
How I work
Close and quiet: no posing, no long lists of group shots, no interrupting a moment to rebuild it. What comes back is the day as it actually felt.
I started photography in 2006 with fashion and concert work, assisting François Rousseau, Gérard Schachmes and Roberto Battistini, and covering Céline Dion’s world tour “Taking Chances”. That is what I bring to a wedding today: a reportage with a marked aestheticism — documentary, with a fashion touch.
On film
I started out with analog photography, and I have kept shooting both film and digital ever since. Analog brings a timelessness that digital does not: it makes images with a personality of their own, far from the clean, sharp ones of a digital camera.
I still cherish my old Mamiya RZ 67 and my Hasselblad 503 CX, and I would be delighted to shoot with them on your wedding day.
Why I do this
I am truly passionate about love stories. There is no picture more beautiful than one of someone in love — it is, besides, one of the reasons why I love my job.
Honesty, creativity, quality, support and integrity.
